A good way for people to upload and change around their photot, i could not however save them onto my computer or load to my flickr account, i think the reasoning behind this is my computer needs to be cleaned out.
Ways for this to be used in classrooms:
Ideal way for children to learn how to change their photos - children could bring in photos of a holiday, load them onto picnik play around with the settings (ie add stickers, frames) and then load them the holidays story to the class blog.
Relate - the class can plan and create their class blog by adding to it every week about the focus topic
Create - the children are creating their own blog post, adding pictures of their holidays
Donate - children are able to access this website from where ever to show all family members.

Flickr would be such a good resource to tap into. This would allow others to tap into photos and videos that others have taken rather than the generic ones you find on the web.
Teachers would be able to tag certain images into categories and add a description on how they implemented this in their classrooms.
For example, the class may go on a nature walk which the teacher films. then the teacher takes photos of the work planned from that nature work. this can all be then uploaded in on to flickr with the tags yr1 nature, nature, education etc.
By doing this, teachers would get ideas from others and be able to utilise the untapped resource that is someone elses head.

Power Point Presentations
Well this certainly is an old form of presenting information. I did it back in school to provide something to look at and at present my teacher for my uni class uses it to provide us something to go back and look at to revise what he has gone over in the class.
Although a very funny video, it did have some good points about the overuse of a powerpoint. Too much text, overuse of bullet points, way too much statistics (graphs) and overuse of animation.
The powerpoint presentation that I made for a class to cater for the student individual differences in the class was a simple presentation aimed for a group of children in the prep year learning about colours.
The presentation starts off with the song "Sing a Rainbow" (using audio media) then as the song progresses, colours fly in to the slide to represent the colour being sung. Once all are on the slide they form a rainbow, hence the song. (used animation). For vision impaired children the slide show would not need any changes done as the song is already an auido media which allows them to hear. Then the following slides are discussed as a group, so agian they would be able to understand what is going on. For hearing impaired children you could add the additional box in the presentaion of someone doing signing or the teacher can sign the presentation.
On the following slides, each slide is an individual colour and has items representing that colour on the slide, for example - red, red apple, red socks, red hat etc. These slides would one by one appear for the children to look at.
Relating the powerpoint presentation back to the Engagment Theory:
Relate-Create-Donate
Relate - emphasizes team efforts that involve communication, planning, management and social skills.
To the powerpoint careful planning went into the powerpoint presentation with constant thoughts about how student where able to relate this back to their real life. This is done by indivualising the slides with each colour and allowing the children to tell me what they know comes in that specific colour, therefore relating the colour back to their life.
Create - makes learning a creative, purposeful activity.
After the powerpoint shows the students are then given time to go and create something to encorporate a colour of their choosing. This allows them to make learning colours a creative and purposeful activity.
Donate - stresses the value of making a useful contribution while learning.
The students work is then able to be put on display with the powerpoint and a small story explaining the activity so the children are able to take pride in their work and show it off to parents/grandparents/friends etc.

Interactive Whiteboards

The main thing that stuck with me the entire time while watching and reading about them was how much fun the early years would have with this. Teachers would be able to engage all of there children in learning. The teachers out of the video clip stated that they used the interactive whiteboards or 'magic board' to do science, maths, spelling, reading and then again to revise over topics they have previously learnt.
In the video it looks as though there is a multi choice control, not to sure, but this would be great for quizzes where you can ask a question then provide a multi choice answer and allow the children time to think and answer and then shown the correct answer straight away. This would allow children to see where they went wrong.
The teachers also said that they regard the white boards as their very own professional college in the classroom that will be there everyday. This, to me, shows that these teachers are excited about coming to school each day. As they have something that not only they enjoy using but also engages all the children (even shy ones) to learn.
This is hands on learning in a nut shell and would provide the digital natives of the world something to relate to when they go to school. Providing students with something they can relate to will increase the level of engagement and attendence within the schools and classrooms.

Voki
Wow, I had some fun doing this one...
I added the code the website gave me but was unable to load my post. Unsure on the code now and how others can view it.
My voki was a gingerbread man teaching children the colours (sing a rainbow).
Voki's are a wonderful tool that can be used for many different things. We have all seen through managing e learning how voki's can be used as Scott has placed one on every page so far with a brief explanation on what the readings are about.
A voki could be used in my classroom to help children stay engaged in their learning, allowing teachers to set up a voki and allow the children time to go through and explore each one and what it has to say/teach. Now with my voki I created I aimed it at the younger children (as I am doing Early Childhood) so my voki is there to teach them how to sing "Sing a Rainbow" or learn the colours in a fun way. Most would sit at the front of the class on a chair and sing this song to the children, however some children tend to switch off and become uninterested in what the teacher is saying, using a voki to teach them different songs or themes would increase their interest within the curriculum.
With more exploration of what voki's are able to do I am sure that you would be able to incorporate different ideas into the backgrouds of the voki's, for example if children are having difficulties counting to 10 then incorporating numbers in the background would also give them a visual aide to look at when listening to the voki.
All up voki's would be such a good thing to have in the classrooms, as teachers would be able to set up computer stations where children can go to learn without others distractions.

OMG this one caused my a lot of stress....firstly I had some trouble with the paypal payment little things I didnt notice, if I had I wouldnt have found this stressful.
